Stone Counter Top Installer

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Set seams.
  • Repair finishes.
  • Polish stone.

Competencies:
  • Qualification: A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of quality control inspection process and ensure quality assurance on all installation jobs. A great working knowledge of tools used in this industry.
  • Skills: Dynamic problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and great customer service. Proficiency in material modification. Proficiency in setting seams, material lay-out and all technical expertise. Skills in the repair of a variety of natural stones and quartzes with varying finishes.
  • Abilities: Professional demeanor and appearance. Ability to polish or cut on-site if needed. Ability to carry and maneuver heavy tops daily. Experience: 2 or more years of experience as an Installer or Lead Installer.

Material Handler
Full Time - Jenison, MI, US

Company Intro:
Advanced Interiors is the industry leader in providing interior finishes to the residential new home market. We also serve the retail, remodeling, commercial and multi-family markets focusing not only on the products, but also the services that the new homebuilder needs. Our business has grown to include not only flooring, but also a full offering of cabinetry and a Stone Division where we fabricate our own Granite, Quartz and Solid Surface.
 
Shift Hours:
Can Vary, Generally 7am-4pm

Position Summary:
We have an immediate opening for a Production Associate to assist in material handling. Experience is a definite plus, however, we are willing to train the right person.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
●    Pick up materials as needed in company trucks.
●    Receive (document) materials returned from fabrication to inventory.
●    Verify quantities, products and condition of all materials received.
●    Place all products received in appropriate locations.
●    Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of all work areas.
●    Process appropriate paperwork regarding all materials.
●    Receiving of new inventory via inventory documentation process.
●    Selecting and transporting inventory per custom job requirements.
●    Assist with periodic physical inventory counting.
●    Periodic disposal of company trash to the dumpster.
●    Assist Stone Manager as needed.
●    Other duties and responsibilities.

Competencies

Knowledge:
●    Understanding of quality control inspection process and ensure quality assurance on installation jobs.
●    A great working knowledge of tools used in this industry

●    Experience in granite/quartz polishing and solid surface sanding is required

Sander Polisher
Full Time - Pine Ridge, Jenison, MI, US

Varies, Generally 7am-4pm

Position Summary:
We have an immediate opening in our stone division for a polisher/quality control technician. If you are detail oriented with a desire to work hard and learn a skilled trade, you are in the right place. Opportunities abound as we continue to grow! 

Duties and Responsibilities:
●    Inspect pieces completed by CNC’s for quality
●    Touch up areas on countertops to meet standards
●    Assist in loading, setup, unloading of material on machines
●    Keeping workplace clean and organized
●    Assist with material handling as needed
●    Prepare completed pieces for installation
●    Other duties and responsibilities

Competencies
Knowledge:
●    A great working knowledge of tools and quality standards in the stone countertop industry

Skills:
●    Strong desire to get projects done by the completion date
●    Strong communication skills and great customer service
●    Dynamic problem-solving skills
●    High level of workmanship

Abilities:
●    Work well in a team environment
●    Ability to handle heavy material while practicing safe lifting to prevent injury of oneself or others
●    Excellent attendance and reliable transportation

Experience:
●    Experience in Granite/Quartz polishing is preferred

Carpet and/or Laminate Installer

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Build laminate and solid surface countertop fabrication / wood-working
  • Work with a team and individually to fabricate post form; square edge and bevel edge laminate countertops within tight timeframes
  • Operate saws and various shop tools
  • Construction or building industry experience
  • Keep workplace clean and organized
  • Prepare and install completed pieces
Competencies:
  • Read and interpret counter top measurements/prints to insure order completeness and accuracy
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • High level of craftmanship
  • Critical problem-solving skills
